Musing Monday (1)

Musing Monday is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading!

Do you judge a book by its cover?

Honestly? Yes, I do. To me the cover is a huge part of the book. I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by it's cover but...it is the first thing you see. I'm not going to pick up a book unless I'm somehow attracted to the cover. The cover doesn't necessarily have to be beautiful, it can be interesting. Just the other day someone was raving about how awesome a book was but the cover was completely bland. So, below I'm going to show you guys a few covers for books coming out in 2012 that I would definitely pick up even if I didn't know what they were about.

Beautiful Covers
Everneath (Everneath, #1) Incarnate (Incarnate #1) A Million Suns (Across the Universe, #2) Life Is But a Dream

Interesting Covers
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight When the Sea is Rising Red Pure (Pure #1) This Is Not a Test

  3. Like you, I do judge books based on their covers. For example, I tend to stay away from books whose concept for their covers are reused over and over again on different books. I like something interesting and unique!
Out of the books you mentioned, I really like Everneath and Incarnate! I especially like how Everneath's cover is all wispy and how Incarnate's cover is all red and blue.
    Anyway, nice post! :)
