Rene, an obsessive-compulsive fourteen year old, smells his hands and wears a Batman cape when he’s nervous. If he picks up a face-down coin, moves a muscle when the time adds up to thirteen (7:42 is bad luck because 7 + 4 + 2 = 13), or washes his body parts in the wrong order, Rene or someone close to him will break a bone, contract a deadly virus, and/or die a slow and painful death like someone in a scary scene in scary movie. Rene’s new and only friend tutors him in the art of playing it cool, but that’s not as easy as Gio makes it sound.

Once Upon a Read-a-Thon Update/Wrap Up

Once Upon a Read-a-ThonThe Once Upon a Read-a-Thon is over. Sadly I couldn't participate or read as much as I would have liked to. I'm at my cousins house and I haven't really been able to read here. But nonetheless I enjoyed what I got to read. I read most of Delirium by Lauren Oliver. It's a great book. The characters are very developed and you just fall in love with them. I'll talk more about them when I review it. So in conclusion I had fun in this Read-a-Thon. Thank you Angela at Reading Angel, Candace at Candace's Book Blog, and Lori at Pure imagination for hosting :)

once upon a read-a-thon

I'm on vacation right now and had completely forgotten about this read-a-thon. I was super excited about it when I signed up and really want to participate so I'm going to try my best to read. My first book for the read-a-thon is Delirium by Lauren Oliver.

Reading challenge number one:
Mini Challenge Question 1:What is your favorite type of myth (Greek, Roman, Egyptian etc)?
My favorite type of mythology us Greek. It is just so interesting :)
Mini Challenge Question 2:What is your favorite book with some type of mythology in it?
I haven't read many books with mythology in it but I'm really excited to read the Goddess Test.

Reading challenge number two:
The challenge was to guess the books by seeing a bit of the book cover and can be found at themusingsofALMYBNENR
