Well my favorite banned book from that list would have to be, without a doubt, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This is a great book about a girl having to deal with a controlling government and being a true leader. Okay, yea there is violence in the book but uhhhh if I'm correct is there not violence in almost everything nowadays? Just look at a movie coming out on DVD tomorrow, Transformers Rise of The Moon, but you can be sure those children who are being denied a great book are the same ones watching these movies (not that I think the movies are bad *woot Shia*) But stand up for what is right. Read banned books!
Let me know what your favorite banned book is below :)
The Hunger Games is an amazing book. We were just talking about it being challenged. Some who were a part of the conversation were shocked when they found out that it had been challenged. Here’s Mine at FABR
ReplyDeleteI agree! I chose the Hunger games as well. I think its stupid for them to ban a book because of a little violence!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Hunger Games but I want too. It seems like a great series. Here's mine http://amysbookworld.blogspot.com/2011/09/book-blogger-hop-930-103.html
