Top Ten Books I'd Like To See Made Into A Movie

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Broke and Bookish.

So today on the Top Ten feature two of my loves collide. I absolutely adore movies and I obviously love books. So without further ado, here are my top ten books I want to see made into movies.

I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You (Gallagher Girls, #1)
1. I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You by Ally Carter
I have been waiting for a movie based on this since I first read the book. There is just so much potential for a movie here. This series has romance, action scenes and bad ass girl spies. What more could you ask for in a book or a movie?
City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)
2. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
I know this is already in the process of being made but I am still very excited for this. Lilly Collins is playing Clary and Jamie Campbell Bower is playing Jace. I know some people are iffy about the actors but I can't wait to see how they bring these characters to life.
If I Stay
3. If I Stay by Gayle Forman
This was one of my favorite books I read last year. I also devoured the sequel in one day. I really want to see these characters on the big screen. There is so much emotion in this book and I would love to see how they portray it.
Before I Fall
4. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
As the book before, this one is full of emotion. I took it on vacation with me one year and after reading it I could not stop thinking about it for weeks. Every time I thought about the book I was a mess of emotions all over again. I think this would make a great movie and offer something different to movie goers.
The Forest of Hands and Teeth (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #1)
5. The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
ZOMBIES. That is all. I love zombies and I love this book and I need to see this on the big screen soon. I think this would make a great horror/action/somewhat romance movie.
Divergent (Divergent, #1)
6. Divergent by Veronica Roth
Having just read this at the beginning of April I think it is a great dystopian and in my opinion we need more dystopian type movies. This would make a great film for lovers of The Hunger Games. If you have not read it yet, do it. It's great.
Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1)
7. Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
Oh this series, I just finished the trilogy in April and it had me laughing all the way through. This would make a great action packed movie with bits of comedy thrown in every now and then. Bad ass sarcastic main characters are my thing in movies and books and this main character definitely fits those qualities.
Dash & Lily's Book of Dares
8. Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
I loved Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist both the book and the movie. But I loved this book even more so this book being made into a movie would make me extremely happy.
Unearthly (Unearthly, #1)
9. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand
Angel books are very popular these days but this series made me see them in a totally different light and made me fall in love with them. Plus, I would not mind seeing the two hot boys, Tucker and Christian, on the big screen ;)
One Night That Changes Everything
10. One Night by Lauren Barndholt
This would be one of those funny revenge kind of comedies. Something like John Tucker Must Die and She's The Man. Personally, there can never be too many of those movies.

That is my list of books I would love to see on the big screen. Any books you see here that you agree with or any you would personally add to your list? Let me know below :)

  1. I was going to put If I Stay on mine, but I figured that it would probably be a bit boring :/ But great post, and I'm a new follower as well!

I would love it if you could check out my TTT!

  3. Ooh yes Dash & Lily! That would be so cute.

Argh I'm not sure I could cope with the sadness of seeing If I Stay. Definitely one where you'd need a whole box of tissues!

  4. YES to Dash & Lily! I put it on my list too because I think it would be the perfect cutesy holiday movie. I considered both If I Stay and Before I Fall for my list, but I have personal issues with time continuums in movies and they would both definitely violate that haha...but if I were ok with it, I do think they could be interesting movies!

  5. I’ve only read Divergent from this list – and 100% agree, I think it would make an excellent movie.

  6. Yes to City of Bones and Divergent!!! I didn't know the pins for City of Bones were actually using the right actors that had been cast!
