Top Ten Most Anticipated Debut Novels for 2015

I really enjoy reading books by debut authors. We get to read books by authors we've never read before and possibly close and finish the book adding a new favorite author to our list and immediately going to Goodreads to see when their next book is coming out. These books are in no particular order of how excited I am for them because I am excited for each and every one of these!

1. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli: Every single person that I know who has read this love this book! About 74% of the people on Goodreads who have read this (out of 137 people) have rated this 5 stars so it must be good! It is also a LGBT novel which is super cool! (I have an e-ARC so I am super excited!)
2. More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera: I know this book also has LGBT elements in it and I just have heard super great things about this one so far.
3. Shutter by Courtney Alameda: A few blogger friends have mine have read this and really loved it and are telling people to pre-order it which means it has to be good!

4. Hello, I Love You by Katie M. Stout: This one just seems like a really fun, light contemporary! I also believe it has diverse characters so that's a win!
5. The Way We Bared Our Souls by Willa Strayhorn: Truthfully, I don't know what this is about other than that it is a contemporary book about 5 teens with pretty hard lives.

6. Made You Up by Francesca Zappia: This just seems like a wonderful emotional contemporary story which are my favorites! (I also have an e-ARC of this one, so YAY!)
7. Not After Every Thing by Michelle Levy: I only heard about this one recently but from what I can gather it is a book with a male POV and I don't read enough books with the point of view of a male!
8. The Last Leaves Falling by Sarah Benwell: This is a book with a Japanese main character so again, diversity for the win! I believe she has a medical condition that she must deal with.

9. After Hours by Claire Kennedy: This seems like a really cute and funny read with a pretty interesting setting!
10. Like It Never Happened by Emily Adrian: I don't know much about this one but it has a beautiful story and is a contemporary.

Let me know what debuts you are most anticipating in the year of 2015!

  6. I didn't know about Shutter until I read someone's review for it. It looks creepy (literally... that cover is downright scary)! But it might be a good read.
