Bonnie and Clyde meets IF I STAY in this addictively heart-wrenching story of two desperate teenagers on the run from their pasts.
They’re young. They’re in love. They’re on the run.
Zoe wants to save Will as much as Will wants to save Zoe. When Will turns eighteen, they decide to run away together. But they never expected their escape to be so fraught with danger....
When the whole world is after you, sometimes it seems like you can’t run fast enough.
Nobody But Us, told in alternating perspectives from Will and Zoe, is an unflinching novel, in turns heartbreaking and hopeful, about survival, choices, and love...and how having love doesn’t always mean that you get a happy ending. Described as “beautiful, heartbreaking, and exhilarating” by Kody Keplinger, author of The DUFF, Nobody But Us will prove irresistible to fans of Nina Lacour, Jenny Han, and Sara Zarr.
I personally have to admit something right off the bat. My expectations for this book were BEYOND high. It was just impossible for the book to be what I expected it to be. The excitement was too much so when I finally sat down with this it wasn't what I expected. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy it and that it didn't make me feel all the feels, because it did.

Will takes Zoe away from her abusive father and that's how the story begins. The writing was absolutely wonderful. It engages you and wraps you up in the story. The only problem I really had with Nobody But Us was that I had a bit of a hard time relating to the characters. Will and Zoe are very different characters and Kristin did a magnificent job showing this through the two perspectives in the book. Will's voice is a bit rougher and more raw than Zoe's. Her voice is softer and sweeter.

I thought the relationship was cute although he is constantly worried that he's hurting Zoe and treats her like a fragile flower. I'm still unsure about how I felt about that, I think guys should care for girls but shouldn't have to be constantly worried. Although in the situation they're in it might be totally acceptable. I would probably be paranoid too.

The story line flowed quickly and the pace was continuous throughout the whole book, but they did some really dumb things along the way. I know that Zoe is only 15 and at that age you hardly know where you're going in life half the time but Will should have been more knowledgeable. He was to some extent but you could really see his raw side come out at times.

The emotion is almost palapable in the writing and the ending is sure to leave the reader pondering for days. I sat there for a day after reading this, with the story stuck in the back of my mind. I just couldn't get over all the feelings at the end. If you enjoy a quick, emotional contemporary then I recommend this one. Although the characters are a bit hard to relate to, the writing alone is worth picking it up.

Dream Cast!

Sofia Black-D'Elia as Zoe:

She's a little older than the character but she has that sweet looking baby face. I've seen her acting in younger roles like Gossip Girl and she's done a great job. I think she would be a refreshing new face to see playing Zoe.

Landon Liboiron as Will:

We've seen him play a bad boy with a sweet heart in Degrassi. But we've also seen him be over protective and emotional in Terra Nova. Plus, he's got those rugged good looks. He's definitely Will in my heart.
