December TBR: Finish Something, End Something, Start Something New

It December, my favorite month (since it's my birthday month and all). But it's almost a new year! I can't believe how fast this year went by. I know I've been saying this for a really long time, BUT I have seriously not been reading the amount of books I want to be reading *cries*. I need to crunch down on my reading if I want to finish my challenge. That said I am 21 books away from reaching my Goodreads goal of 100 books. TWENTY-ONE, GUYS! Hopefully I can do it. I have some books I started throughout the year that I want to finish so here is a loose list of what I hope to read this month:

Defiance by C.J. Redwine
Forbidden by Syrie James and Ryan James
Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
A Fractured Light by Jocelyn Davies
Renegade by J.A. Souders
Flying Blind by Deborah Cooke
Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep
Across the Universe by Beth Revis
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Shade by Jeri Smith Ready
Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock
Heist Society by Ally Carter

I want to finish:
Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick
The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa
I Kissed a Zombie and I Liked It by Brian Selzer
Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler
The Scorch Trials by James Dashner
Legend by Marie Lu
Hanging by a Thread by Sophie Littlefield
A Need So Beautiful by Suzanne Young

That's what I will hopefully be reading. It might change...and by might I mean probably, because I can never make up my mind. But those are some of my choices. If a book is taking too long to get into I'll probably skip it. To everyone who is still trying to finish their challenges, good luck! Leave links to your TBR lists below. I really want to see what everyone is reading this last month of the year.

  1. Great list! I loved Renegade, Shatter Me, Shade, Hemlock, and Legend. There are a few others I read and liked on your list too, but didn't necessarily love. I really want to read Ashes, Perfect Chemistry, and My Life Next Door.

On my list I have Derailed, Release, Love and Other Perishable Items, Altered Souls, Waiting for Mercy, Level 2, What the Spell, The Cadet of Tildor, Fangtabulous, Splintered, The Dead and Buried, and some others. I am finishing up Flawed and The Believing Game now.

    Good luck reaching your goal!!

  2. Looks like you did pretty good in November, and I hope you meet your reading goal for the year - but even more importantly - enjoy the books you do read. I really liked Legend - so hurry up and get to it :-)

  3. Great list! Renegade is awesome and very dark! I also really enjoyed Legend and Shatter Me. The Shiver series is good to but I was really disappointed by the ending. Hope you love em! :D

  4. Wow that is a lot of books! I could never read that many in a month. The only one on your list that I've actually read is Shatter Me and I really enjoyed it. It has a surprise ending! Hope you reach your goal!

  5. It's my birthday month, as well!

That's a long list of books! I hope you finish your challenge, but don't stress out about it. It really takes the pleasure away from reading, I've found. I hope some of those books turn out to be gems!
