I'll be on vacation for about three weeks in different places like Cancun, Dominican Republic and Miami and the thing I found the toughest was picking out which books I was going to bring with me. I know that I'll probably be busy hanging out with family and friends but I still had about 10 books on my short list of books to pack.
It all started almost TWO MONTHS in advance when I bought Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger and thought to myself, "This would make a great vacation read". From there on I kept adding more and taking them off and it was an endless cycle. Obviously I couldn't bring ALL THE BOOKS but I did pick out three.
Audris' Vacation Books:
I picked these because they're each very different from each other, middle grade, contemporary and historical with a paranormal twist. That way, if I get tired of one I can just pick up something completely different.
Don't fret though, I did bring my nook with me and the possibilities are endless there with all the Netgalley arcs and ebook deals going around right now and I'll obviously be buying Fangirl because that's my rec for EpicRecs!
How do you choose what to pack for vacation and have you read/reviewed any of these?
That sounds like an awesome vacation! Cancun has always been on my list of places to visit. The gif is so true!! I'm the same way, I pick out books months in advance for trips too. It looks like you have awesome ones, Etiquette and Espionage looks great! Thank goodness for Nooks and the unlimited possibilities that come with them! haha!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful and relaxing vacation!
In these situations, the e-reader truly is a hero huh :D THE way to bring all the books, without all the weight. Have a great vacation!
ReplyDeleteOof, packing is always a struggle. Love your picks- Eleanor & Park is amazing and Percy Jackson is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI usually pack one book that's a tried-and-true read and then up to 3 to-read books.
I usually don't pick *shamefaced* I just pack all the books... and when we arrive and my parents find out they get super mad. At least I upgraded to an iPad, they're quite happy that half of the books are ebooks now, and the other half... well that's a very heavy suitcase! and returning is even worse... because I always buy new books! -.- I feel bad for my family for having to deal with my book-crazed self.
ReplyDeleteI'm horrible, when it comes to packing my books. Next time I'll let my followers pick the books I'll take with me haha.
