Sister Blog Recommendation Challenge

To kick off the year Jacquelyn, Juhina, Arshia and I are going to do a six month recommendation challenge. What's better than reading books that your friends have loved? Basically we gave each other a list of books to read and aim to read them between January 1st and June 30th. We will be doing an update post every three months in order to let you know how we are doing. I think this is going to be a super fun challenge and a great way to step out of our comfort zones.

Juhina Recommends

Written in Red by Anne Bishop
The Book of Blood and Shadow by Robin Wasserman
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

Jacquelyn Recommends

Damage Done by Amanda Panitch
Faking Normal by Courtney C. Stevens
Pretty Girl-13 by Liz Coley

Arshia Recommends

The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima
Vicious by V.E. Schwab
Every Breath by Ellie Marney

Audris Recommends

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
The Girl With All the Gifts by M.R. Carey
Shattered Souls by Mary Lindsey

Which ones of these have you read? Did any of your favorites make our list?

  1. The Girl on the Train is pretty good. Pretty Girl 13 was decent. Illuminae and The Girl with All the Gifts were two of my favorite reads last year. I'm excited to see your reviews on these.

  2. I have not read any of these. My sister and I have done something similar for the last few years where we recommend 5 books that the other must read in a year.

  3. Oh, I've actually just collected a tonne of recs from my closest blogging friends to do this sort of challenge too. I want to expand my reading states so I'm trying to read different books. I got recommend a few of these too, and will definitely be reading The Girls With All the Gifts and hopefully Illuminae too.
