February Book Club: Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes

For the month of February, Audris and I were planning on reading Carry On but I was pretty hesitant on it so I wanted to see some more reviews before reading it. I wanted to make sure I avoided a reading slump if I could. I am not too sure I would like that one. Because of that, I sent a few videos to Audris of the shelves of books I own and wanted to read and we decided on Falling Kingdoms! With four of the six books out, it's a great time to start delving into this series and world. I have only heard magnificent things about the story, plot, and characters. So Falling Kingdoms it is for our February book of the month!

The Book:

Goodreads Summary:
In the three kingdoms of Mytica, magic has long been forgotten. And while hard-won peace has reigned for centuries, a deadly unrest now simmers below the surface.
As the rulers of each kingdom grapple for power, the lives of their subjects are brutally transformed... and four key players, royals and rebels alike, find their fates forever intertwined. Cleo, Jonas, Lucia, and Magnus are caught in a dizzying world of treacherous betrayals, shocking murders, secret alliances, and even unforeseen love.
The only outcome that's certain is that kingdoms will fall. Who will emerge triumphant when all they know has collapsed?
It's the eve of war.... Choose your side.

Princess: Raised in pampered luxury, Cleo must now embark on a rough and treacherous journey into enemy territory in search of magic long thought extinct.
Rebel: Jonas, enraged at injustice, lashes out against the forces of oppression that have kept his country cruelly impoverished. To his shock, he finds himself the leader of a people's revolution centuries in the making.
Sorceress: Lucia, adopted at birth into the royal family, discovers the truth about her past—and the supernatural legacy she is destined to wield.
Heir: Bred for aggression and trained to conquer, firstborn son Magnus begins to realize that the heart can be more lethal than the sword....

With the series being more than halfway completed, it's about time we start this series! Audris and I will be reading this during the month of February and you can find our updates on Twitter and Goodreads and towards the end of the month here on the blog.

If you would like to join, comment below or send us a tweet! We would love to have you to discuss with.
