Blog Tour: The Onyx Talisman (Review and Giveaway)

The Onyx Talisman (Talisman, #3)Alora looked back and the corner of her lip turned up. “It’s always darkest before the dawn, Julia. Good luck.” Her words sent chills up my spine as she vanished.
Unrest stirs deep in Scotts Valley. Filled with uncertainty, Julia anxiously awaits Nicholas’ return. Phil, hurt and unsure of his place as a sober vampire, holds the pieces of Julia’s fragile psyche together, secretly hoping Nicholas stays away forever. Scarlett bides her time, plotting for the perfect moment to prove herself and earn redemption. But somewhere in L.A., Alora conspires to reclaim her talisman and strip Julia of everything she holds dear.
Little do they know, a war is coming and more than one vampire would like to see the Prince of Vampires overthrown. As more and more vampires show up from nowhere, addicted to her scent, Julia must pick her allies carefully before it’s too late. Can Julia bargain with fate? When the time comes, will she even have a choice? Find out how it all ends in this explosive grand finale of The Talisman Trilogy.
This being the last book in what had been an amazing trilogy had me so nervous. I loved and treasured each and every character and was worried the ending wouldn't be perfect but Brenda Pandos did it again. She created an amazing story and gave it an incredible ending. Let me just tell you that I read this book all in one night. I couldn't bring myself to sleep until I knew how the trilogy would end.

The Onyx Talisman brought with it all of my favorite characters, Julia, Nicholas, Sam and especially Phil. He takes the place of a protective, caring best friend when Julia needs it most. With Nicholas out doing who knows what, Julia is very worried but she has the Fab Five to keep her busy. Julia has always been strong and strong minded, which I love. She doesn't let what other people tell her affect her decisions. There is nothing she wouldn't do to save the people she cares about.

I was very pleased that we get to find out more about Julia's family and their background. We find out a lot about her dad that I was definitely not expecting. The reader also gets to learn more about Julia's mother's side of the family. Maybe the women in her family were more like Julia than she could have imagined.

The ending was what I think a lot of the readers would have wanted. It was very perfect and I loved it. Even though I wouldn't mind reading more about Phil and some of the other characters I have to say that I was very happy with the conclusion of the series. Brenda did a fantastic job.

Now for the little something we are all doing, I chose to write a letter to Brenda :)

Dear Brenda,
Thank you so much for this series. I seriously adore every character you placed in front of me and for that I thank you. You were the first author I ever had on the blog and I still remember how excited I was when you answered my email and agreed to an interview :) You made me love vampires even after I was tired of the trend. Again, thank you so much for this series and I can't wait to continue with your mermaid series!
P.S. Thanks, thanks, thanks for Phil <3 You don't know how excited I was I read the line, "He disappeared out of sight. 'Yeah, Parker. See ya'". So, thanks for that :)
