GINORMOUS November/December Book Haul (40+ books!)

From Black Friday all the way until Christmas, I acquired SO many books. There were just so many opportunities to buy such awesome books and I couldn't pass them up (as you will soon be able to tell). Usually, I would list all of the titles and authors of each book but because of the ginormous size of this haul, I only took pictures of the books (categorized by how/when I got them). I tried to take every picture so that all titles could be seen but if you have any questions as to what any of them are, comment below and I will be sure to answer. Let the haulin' begin!

So, the madness all started on Black Friday. I decided to go to Barnes and Noble (I had control there and somehow managed to only walk out with my mom's Christmas present) and BAM. There, I had a coupon and decided to buy three books.

Then, I decided to make a Book Outlet purchase. Everything online was 30% off plus I signed up to get some Black Friday bucks which was basically like a $5 gift card if you spent a certain amount. I went a tad bit crazy and received all of these lovely books.

My library has this ongoing sale in their downstairs section where they sell books for 50 cents to a dollar. Every time I go, I scour the small shelf to see if they have anything I am interested in. I came across these brand new hardcovers (part of the same series) and they seemed really interesting so I picked them up. I couldn't pass these up for $2!

This month I also did some #bookfortrades. I still need to send out two packages but other than that, I am all caught up and good to go. Thanks so much to Rachel, Rachel, and Lisa! I can't wait to read all three of these lovely books.

A few weekends ago, my mom and I decided to stop by a new dollar store in our area. Most dollar stores have a small book section and the ones around me usually suck. However, I always check just in case. I am glad I did check that day because I found a book that I had been wanting to read for a while now. I almost ordered it off of Book Outlet a few times but since I got it for just $1, it was actually cheaper to buy it here!

Then, on Christmas Eve I got an email telling me a package from HMH Kids was going to be arriving that day. I didn't see the email that was sent to me a few days prior (later found in spam) but the lovely publicist over at HMH Kids was kind enough to grant my requests for these upcoming 2016 titles. Thanks so much, Meredith!

Then, my favorite day of the year came along. CHRISTMAS! Christmas 2015 had to have been one of the best bookish Christmases I ever had! I got tons of awesome new books, bookish goodies, and even new BOOKSHELVES which I am more than pumped about. I am so thankful for my family and for all of the wonderful gifts they got me, especially all of these awesome books.

I also received a few gift cards to places where I could obtain even more books (Barnes and Noble and Amazon)! My mom and I went out to Barnes and Noble the next day and then, with my two day shipping, I received my other book two days after Christmas. I usually never get this many hardcovers in one go but I decided to splurge and treat myself.

I went through all of the pictures and I counted 49 books. I may be off by a few but either way, OMG THAT IS CRAZY. This is one of my craziest book hauls in a looooooong time. You would think I would have slowed down but nope. I just placed two more Book Outlet orders today thanks to their Boxing Day sale! I guess you will be seeing another book haul here quite soon.

Let me know if you have read/want to read any of these books and your thoughts!

  1. YES! This is the haul I've been waiting for! Everything is beautiful *weeps tears of joy*. I own Rebel Springs, The Rithmatist, and Heir of Fire as well but I haven't gotten to any of them yet. Super cool that you got an ARC of Into the Dim and Suffer Love; they seem like fantastic books!

  4. 40 BOOKS? OMG. I'm completely jealous! I wish I could haul that many books, but I'm currently out of room on my shelves. :(

I haven't read any of the books that you recently hauled, but I do own a few, and I'm hoping to get to them soon.

    Happy New Year!

  5. Same story! I went to B&N on Black Friday to get a signed copy of Khloe Kardashians book and. . . I walked out with a signed collectors edition of Allegiant for MYSELF!
This is really quite the haul! So glad to see 17 & Gone in there. Nova Ren Suma is one of my favorite authors and I fear she's not as well known as she absolutely should be! Highly recommend of hers, Imaginary Girls and The Walls Around Us.

  9. While the deals weren't always the best, I think I'm always drawn to swipe that credit card during days like Black Friday because...why not?! I had also hauled The Fixer at a gift exchange and knew nothing about it so I'm hoping what it's compared to (Veronica Mars and Scandal) holds up!

    Cheers,

  11. I read Heir of Fire a few months ago and it was amazing! I can't decide if I loved it more than Queen of Shadows but it's a pretty close call. Anyway the series is my favorite of the year.

  13. So many books to comment on! 49!? I am a bit envious of you. I have about 5 spots left on my bookshelf for books. I love when I go to the dollar store and fine a book that I been wanting to read there, I don't check often but it is a great feeling when you get something almost 100% of the retail price. I always go above and beyond when I order from bookoutlet (My last order was in February so I must remedy this soon.) What We Saw and Faceless were both 5 star reads from me, and I believe I gave The Fixer 4 stars. I hope you enjoy all of these books Jacquelyn!

  16. I recently read Violent Ends and I loved it so much! I'm starting graduate school (getting my masters in Library Science!!) so I forced myself to stay away from all of the amazing Book Outlet deals that have been going on lately, it was so hard!
